Marian Morrison

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010 at St. James Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be at North Fork Cemetery, Decatur, IL.Marian was born November 12, 1926, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Harlan E. and Marie F. (Hendren) McClintick. She grew up in Peoria, IL until her family moved to Decatur, where she attended Decatur High School. She married Wilbur F. Bud Morrison on April 26, 1947, in Decatur, IL. Marian was faithful to her church, family and community. Away from her family, she was a frequent volunteer with St. Marys Hospital Auxiliary and St. James Church and she enjoyed the company of friends through her bridge club. Surviving are her children Daniel Morrison and wife Nancy of Elkhart, IN, Kathleen Smethers and husband David of Boise, ID, Patrick Morrison and wife Rachel of Clarendon Hills, IL, Michael Morrison of Heyworth, IL; grandchildren Douglas Morrison and Lee Morrison, both of Chicago, IL, Jennifer Morrison and Blake Morrison, both of Elkhart, IN, Jennifer Wilson of Sylva, NC, Beth Smethers of Boise, ID, Madeline and Joseph Morrison both of Clarendon, Hills, IL, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; and brother William McClintick and wife Helen of Williamsburg, VA.Marian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother James McClintick.The family would like to thank the nursing staff, care givers, and physical therapists at Leroy Manor for their kindness and attention.
