Marian Grisham

Marian J. Grisham, 91, of Decatur, IL, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m., prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Marian was born May 21, 1928, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Almas Boyajian. She married Alvin B. Grisham on August 6, 1949 in Salem, MO. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2010. Marian met Alvin while working at Glaser Drugs in St. Louis, MO as a switchboard operator. She became a homemaker after having children. Marian loved traveling, making candy and cookies, and playing cards. Marian was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Railroad Retirees. She is survived by her daughter Jeannie (Fred) Shinbur of Hagerstown, MD; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; brother Joseph Bogosian of St. Louis, MO; son-in-law Robert Miles of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Kathleen Miles, and sister Margaret Courtney. "
