Visitation will be 5-7 pm Monday, November 30, 2009 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Funeral Mass will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Decatur, IL. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Decatur, IL, then followed by a meal reception at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Hall.Margie was born May 19, 1922 in Jacksonville, IL, to John Ira and Bessie Maude Bourne. She was married to James C. Dowd for 35 years (deceased) and married to Newlon J. Coffey for 25 years (deceased). Margie was a 25 yr. parishoner at Our Lady of Lourdes Church and prior parishoner of Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Church in Mt.Zion and 50 yr. parishoner at St.Patricks Church in Decatur. Margie was an active member of Legion of Mary. She served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Lay Carmelite Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary.Margie served her family as homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and model to all women in her vocation as mother and woman. Her hopes and joys were expressed in the fullness of her devotion and love to her children and family.Margie was preceeded in death by her parents, her husbands, two brothers, her sister, one daughter and one grand daughter.Margie is survived by her children; Eileen Eldridge and husband Kay of Decatur, IL; Jonathon Mark Dowd, of Summersville, MO, Trucilla McLaughlin and husband Richard, of Argenta, IL; James G. Dowd, of Santa Maria, CA; Timothy Dowd and wife Karen of Decatur, IL; Necia Shelton and husband Patrick, of Santa Maria, CA; Margie Landrum and husband James of Colorado Springs, CO; Mark Coffey and wife Clare of Orinda, CA; her beloved grandchildren, Kandy Huston, Holly Markwell, Todd Enz, Ariana McLaughlin, Timothy S. Dowd, Jason Parker, Jamie Fawley, Christopher Dowd, Jhenna Shelton, Shari Ermocida, Pat A. Shelton, Jason Alderson, Bryn Landrum, Eric Landrum, Kattie Colabianchi, and Dallas Martin and numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, neices, and nephews; brother, Robert Bourne and wife May of Peoria, IL; and Sister-In-Law, Jo Bourne of Decatur, IL.
