Margaret Jarvis

Margaret L. Jarvis, 91, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 9:20 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Imboden Creek Living Center. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, at St. John's Episcopal Church. Inurnment will be at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Decatur Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Margaret was born August 12, 1923, in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of Drs. HB and Ruth (Hazelrigg) Willard. She married Holly F. Jarvis on June 18, 1954, in Wyandotte, Michigan. He preceded her in death. Margaret was a Doctor of Osteopathy who practiced obstetrics in the Detroit, MI area. She was a very active member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Decatur, Parent Teachers Association (PTA), Eastern Star, and Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Surviving are her sons: Mark S. Jarvis and wife Vicky F. (Mariner) of Springfield, IL, Charles S. Jarvis and wife Suzanne (Martin) of Decatur, IL, Willard H. Jarvis and wife Elaine (Fujii) of Arlington Heights, IL; sister-in-law: Margaret Helen Dennis Willard; grandchildren: Jaclyn L. Shellhammer and husband Charles, Michael F. Jarvis, Paul D. Jarvis and Laura Brackett, Diana E. Havener and husband Michael, Nicole M. Jarvis, Kelly M. Jarvis; great-grandchildren: Evelyn Grace Shellhammer, Remi and Chase Havener; nieces and nephews: Laurie B. Willard, Jane M. Willard, Ann M. Willard, Thomas H. Willard, and Margaret Deanett Dennis Holley. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband Holly, daughter Deborah A. Jarvis, brother Dr. Ralph L. Willard, sister-in-law Norma Hattel Willard, and daughter-in-law Suellen E. Karl-Jarvis. "
