Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 10:00 am with Interment following at Graceland Cemetery. Reverend Robert White will be Officiating.Memorials may be made to the family for a college fund for the grandchildren.Margaret was born in Dalton City, Illinois on April 28, 1939. Her parents were Mr. Harold Wayne and Edna Leta (Green) Brightman of Lovington, Moultrie County, IL.Margaret worked for General Electric at the Changer Plant for 15 years on the assembly line. She worked for 11 years at Fashion Lane in downtown Decatur. For the past 19 years, she has been a Bus Driver for School Services and Leasing Bus Co. She was a member of the Soy City Breakers CB Club, Marine Corps League Womans Auxiliary, United States Steel Workers Local #9189. Margaret married John Franklin Boone on March 31, 1962, in Decatur, IL at Westminster Presbyterian Church. She came to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in 2001. Margarets passing was a direct result of the effects of Primary Amyloidosis (A rare form of cancer).Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, John on Sept 10, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents, stepfather George Eli Huckstep and two brothers (James Allen and Harold Junior Brightman) and one half sister (Brenda Kay Huckstep).Margaret is survived by her son John Francis Boone and his wife Anita Lynn (Hedin)of Monticello, IL, five grandchildren (Jared Franklin Boone, Joshua Samuel Boone, Jesse John F. Boone III, Jamie Hunter Boone and Jacob Lee Brightman) all of Monticello, IL, one sister, Linda Sue Huckstep of Decatur, IL, her brothers Charles Edward Brightman of Danville, IL, George Thomas Huckstep of Decatur, IL, William Lee Huckstep of Decatur, IL, Keith Lynn (Laura) Huckstep of Taylorville, IL, Orville Eugene (Beverly) Huckstep of Rantoul, IL, Larry Huckstep of Sullivan, IL, Richard (Bernita) Huckstep of Sullivan, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and Great nephews from Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, Minnesota and Kentucky, numerous friends throughout this country including her best friend of over 45 years and Riverboat gambling buddy Mrs. Linda Jackson. Lest we forget her loving companion of 14 years, Cookie. "
