Mabel Pullin

Mabel V. Pullin, 95, of Normal, died at 1:45am, Sunday, September 29, 2013 at McLean County Nursing Home. Her memorial service will be at 11:00am, Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00am at the church. Burial will be at a later date in the North Fork Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Home Sweet Home Ministries or a charity of the donor's choice. Mabel was born October 15, 1917 in Minersville, OH to William and Mary Jones. She married Thomas M. Pullin on April 27, 1946 in Barberton, OH. Thomas died in 2002. Survivors include one son, William (Ellen) Pullin, Evanston, IL; three daughters, Mary Ann Pullin, Normal, IL, Kathryn Gillespie, Bloomington, IL, and Janet (Mark) Aberle, Fairbury, IL; seven grandchildren, Lee Pullin, Matt Gillespie, Nathan (Amy Thrasher) Gillespie, Matt Pullin, Rachel (Josh) Goeden, Ben (Laura) Aberle, and Tim (Stephanie) Aberle; and one brother, Robert Jones of Lakeside, OH. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, and her son Michael. Mabel was a retired bookkeeper. She was an active church member, dedicated volunteer, avid quilter, and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. "
