Mabel N. Munson, 91, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM at Long Point Cemetery, Niantic.
Mabel was born June 30, 1933 in Tuscola, the daughter of Harry W. and Cora Marjorie (Phillips) Jackson. She married Rex Munson on August 3, 1950 in Tuscola. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2005. Mabel was an avid reader and especially loved reading Nora Roberts novels and puzzle books.
Surviving are her sons Terry Munson and significant other, Laura Miller of Decatur and Steve Munson and wife, Nancy of Decatur; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lloyd Jackson and wife, Janet of Bloomington.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rex; 5 brothers; and 3 sisters.
