CUSTOM DEATH NOTICELynn E. Hazenfield, 90, of Decatur, IL, died Friday, September 26, 2008, at his residence.Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 29, 2008, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Military rites will be conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard.Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.Lynn was born July 8, 1918, in Decatur, IL, the son of Ernie F. and Ruth Neoma (Owen) Hazenfield. He married Mary Helen French on February 12, 1949 in Greenup, IL. She preceded him in death on April 8, 2002.Lynn retired from Borg Warner, after many years of service. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in WWI with the Sea Bees in Hawaii. Lynn loved gardening, fishing and bowling.He is survived by his son-in-law Harold Allison and wife Norma and grandchildren Gary Allison and wife Gloria of Decatur, IL, Carol Finley and husband Russell of Maroa, IL; great grandchildren Tina & Dennis Botts, Michael Lewis, Debbie Lewis, Terry & Kurt Foor, Anthony & Bonnie Allison, Ariane & Jeff Buckley; great great grandchildren Doug Anderson, Brandon Lewis, Brittany Lewis, Chad Courtney, Sarah Allison, Faith Allison, Josh Buckley; great great great grandchildren Chase Anderson & Jalee Anderson; nephew Phil Hazenfield of Decatur, IL.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary, daughter Virginia Allison, brothers Daryold and Don.
