Lyle H. Jones, 93, of Warrensburg, IL, passed away on September 7, 2025.
A celebration of life will be held 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Warrensburg Sportsman’s Club in Warrensburg, IL. Memories and stories of good times with Lyle will be shared at 1:30 PM. Memorial donations in Lyle’s honor may be made to the Boiling Springs Church of God or Warrensburg Sportsman’s Club.
Lyle was born January 16, 1932, in Decatur, IL, the son of William and Bertha (Park) Jones. He married Pamela Sue Trump in Las Vegas, NV in 1985. Lyle served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves, and then owned and operated J&S Drywall Service and Midwest Siding & Windows.
He enjoyed fishing, but his favorite hobby was working. Lyle took great pride in his job. When he wasn’t working, he was a member of Warrensburg Sportsman’s Club, a lifelong member of the Elk and Moose Lodge, and previously a member of the Home Builder’s Association. He was also a member of Boiling Springs Church of God.
Surviving are his children Brenda (Bill) Brown, Steve (Candace Woolsey) Jones, Tim Jones; grandchildren Christopher Jones, Matthew Brown, Jay Brown, Nicholas Brown, Adam Brown, Eric Jones, Michael Jones; several great-grandchildren, and sister Norma Jean Marlowe.
Lyle was preceded in death by his wife Pamela, parents, brothers Donald, Lloyd, and Larry Jones, and sister Wilma Dean Cooper.
