Lydia “Jane” Miller, 88, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 14th, 2026 from 2 pm to 3 pm at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL, with funeral service to follow at 3 pm. Burial will follow at Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Memorials in Jane’s honor may be made to Piatt County Animal Shelter or Macon County Humane Society.
Jane was born on December 24th 1937 in Oreana, IL , the daughter of Thomas Edgar and Edith Agnes (Hobbs) Hupp. She married Darrell Miller on July 8th, 1960.
She retired from Mueller Company after 47 years of service. Jane’s home was always filled with animals of all kinds and she loved watching and feeding all wildlife. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Her TV was usually on the Marquee Sports Network for the Chicago Cubs, watching live and rebroadcasted games. When the Illini basketball games were on, she would be watching. If she couldn’t watch one of the games on TV, she would have them on the radio listening.
Jane is survived by her 4 children, Darrell Hupp of Forsyth, IL, Russ (Jody Landrus) Miller of Valparaiso, IN, Randy (Leah) Miller of Argenta, IL, and Ron (Michelle) Miller of Hammond, IL; 9 grandchildren, Jake Miller, Cylie Miller, Rushelle Miller, Max Miller, Shelby Dupont, Paiton Williams, Alex (Kyle) Woods, Mycaela Miller, and Reagan Miller; 1 great-grandson Augustus Woods; and a sister Shirley Lechleiter of Forsyth, IL.
She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Edith Hupp; her husband, Darrell Miller; her sister, Dorothy Adams; her brothers, Keith, Dale, Herbert, Bill, Paul and Bob Hupp; her half-brother, Grundy Hupp; and her half-sisters, Cressie Pope and Faye Walters.
