Lucille E. Summers, 94, of Decatur, formerly of Stonington, IL, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation from 5:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery, Stonington, IL.Memorials may be made to: American Heart Association or Cancer Care Specialists, Decatur, IL.Lucille was born a twin on September 8, 1921, in Argenta, IL, the daughter of Charles W. and Ethel P. (Clover) Brown. She married Arthur Van Summers on May 3, 1944 in Argenta, IL. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1973.Lucille loved being with her family, and enjoyed baking, cooking, and gardening. She was a member of the Macon/Piatt County Home Extension.She is survived by her children: Bonnie Ledbetter of Capac, MI, Louise (Earl) Sloan of Pana, IL, Bill Summers of Olathe, KS, Russell (Pam) Summers of Decatur, IL, Loreane (Sam) Robinson of Decatur, IL, and Lois (Ed) Blondin of St. Paul, MN; 36 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren, 6 step great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, children: Rosalie Mobley, Arthur “Shorty” Summers, Charles “Stanley” Summers, twin brother: Lloyd Brown, brother: Lawrence Brown, and sisters: Esther Wetherell and Mildred Brown.The family would like to give a special thank you to caregiver Magnolia Bond, the staff at the Intermediate Care Unit at DMH, the fourth floor nursing staff and the staff at Victorian Woods for their care and compassion given to Lucille. "
