Lucille Marie Mayberry, 101, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 12:15 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012, at McKinley Court Care Center. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Brintlinger& Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to: Epilepsy Foundation. Lucille was born October 4, 1910, in Belleville, IL, the daughter of Albert and Nellie Margaret (Kelly) Phones. She married Noah David Mayberry on September 10, 1927, in Taylorville, IL. He preceded her in death on January 11, 1981. Lucille was Pentecostal in her younger years, and was a former member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, and later attended Camp Wilson Foursquare Church. She loved reading her Bible, and so much so, that many pages were worn with many hours of reading and devotion. Lucille also enjoyed spending time with her family, music and playing the organ. Surviving are her children David L. Mayberry and wife Martha of Decatur, IL, Howard E Mayberry and wife Arlene of Ocala, FL, Thomas J. Mayberry and wife Mary of Maroa, IL, Charlott L. Putnam of Springfield, IL, and Larry E. Mayberry and wife Sue of Decatur, IL; and over 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren spanning 5 generations. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, two daughters, three sisters, six brothers and one great-grandson. "
