Luana Whicker

June 25, 1931 — December 4, 2024

Luana June Whicker, 93, of Decatur, Illinois passed away on December 4, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Life Foursquare Church in Decatur, IL. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at Life Foursquare Church. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials in her honor may be made to Life Foursquare Church.

Luana was born June 25, 1931, in Hannibal, Missouri, the daughter of Lester and Katherine (Jeffers) Redden. She married Randall Whicker on July 16, 1950, in Decatur, and was by his side until his passing on January 21, 2014.

Luana loved spending time with her family. She was an active member of Life Foursquare Church, where she and her husband started the Joy Group and taught Sunday School together.

Luana is survived by her sons; Greg A. (Maggie) Whicker of Seattle WA, David S. (Tammy) Whicker of Decatur IL, Kurt D. (Linda) Whicker of Decatur IL, Jay R. Whicker of Aurora CO, Joel M. (Lisa) Whicker of Phoenix AZ; brother John (Karen) Redden of Decatur IL; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 nephew, and 2 nieces.

Luana is preceded in death by her parents; husband Randall; daughter-in-law Ana Maria; and granddaughter, Sarah Whicker.
