The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2008, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Decatur with the Rev. Father Stephen Rudolphi and Rev. Father Joseph Molloy officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Decatur. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur.Louise Sandstrom was born on January 1, 1942, in Wendelin to John and Bertha (Weber) Rudolphi. On July 3, 1982, she married Robert Sandstrom at St. Patrick Church in Decatur. For forty years she worked at NECA-IBEW in Decatur, retiring on April 1, 2007.She was a dedicated member of Holy Family Catholic Church and enjoyed crafts such as sewing, purse and blanket making, and also making jewelry. She loved to spend time with friends and family. She was a true inspiration and beloved by all who knew her. She will be missed dearly.She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Sandstrom of Decatur; three brothers, Melvin Rudolphi and wife Helen of Olney, Herman Rudolphi and wife Joan of Noble, Richard Rudolphi and wife Meredith of Noble; two sisters, Dorothy Uebinger of Flora and Marilyn Wheaton and husband Tony of Port Orange, Florida.Also surviving are her mother-in-law Mary Sandstrom, sisters-in-law Susan Sandstrom, Cathy Sandstrom and Beth Murphy and husband Tom, all of New York; brother-in-law Richard Sandstrom of California. Several nieces and nephews also survive.She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and an infant brother.Memorials may be made in Mass Offerings.Mom You are my light and inspiration and always will be.
