Louise Potts, 86, Decatur, passed away to be with her Lord at 4:16 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2013, at Heartland Rehabilitation Center, Normal, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, at East Park Baptist Church, Decatur. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials may be made to East Park Baptist Church. Born October 23, 1926 in Clinton, the daughter of Raymond Eli and Ruby Gordon Beasley Evans. She attended Decatur High School and graduated in 1944. She married Robert Dale Potts in 1947, he passed away on March 18, 2002. Survivors include 3 sons: Robert Daniel (KE) of Ohio, Kevin Michael (Ruth Ann) of Towanda, Timothy Lance of Bloomington; daughter: Karen Luann Potts (Russ) Conger and a daughter-in-law: Linda (Terry) Potts; 9 grandchildren: Andy Potts, Megan (Matt) McGovern, Kristin (Clark) Panzer, Karli, Caitlin, Heather Conger, Marc and Erik Potts, Stephanie (Matt) Greenlee; 2 great-grandchildren: Ariana and Selene Panzer; and brother Phil Evans of Garden Grove, CA. Louise was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Kenny, Joe and Carl Evans, her parents, her husband and one son Terry Dale. Louise loved working with little children through local schools and was a Sunday school teacher at East Park Baptist Church for the tiny tots program for over 40 years. She was an avid reader and a devoted Illini basketball fan. She kept a large garden and was passionate about quilting and made many beautiful quilts for family and friends. "
