Mass of Resurrection will be held at 5:00 P.M. Sunday (12-19-2010) at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Decatur, IL. with Fr Steve Pohlman celebrating Mass. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Sunday (12-19-2010) at the church.Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Marseilles, IL. at noon on Monday (12-20-2010) with military rites conducted by the Marseilles V.F.W. Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Catholic Church or to Louis Miglio Scholarship Fund at Illinois State University.Louis was born September 17, 1922, in Marseilles, IL, the son of Peter and Emma (Naretty) Miglio. He taught at Centennial Middle School from 1952 - 1962, and in 1957 - 1958 he received a Fulbright Scholarship and was an exchange teacher, teaching at the church of England secondary school in Lancaster, England. From 1962 to 1976 he taught for Decatur School District #61., teaching one year at Stephen Decatur High School, and then transferred to Mound Middle School for three years, ending his 34 year career at Eisenhower High School in 1980. Louis was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in WWII from 1943 to 1946.He is survived by his nephew Richard Swift; great niece Patricia Watson both of Pahrump, NV; first cousin Richard (Kathleen) Naretty of Marseilles, IL.He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Louise Swift and Lucille Walsh, and brother Richard Miglio.
