Louis Arthur Gomez (Art) 85, born July 17, 1930 in Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully into his eternal heavenly home on January 22, 2016 in Jupiter, Florida.He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Goldie (Mullinax), sons Duane (Lenn), Stanley(Jenny), daughter Linda Jesek (Warren), his loving grandchildren, Kenneth Gomez, Alyssa(Gomez) Lawrence ,Kathryn Gomez, Benjamin Gomez, Bryant Gomez, Sophi (Jesek) Wakefield and Krista Jesek. He also leaves behind his brother Fermin and sisters Margaret Rosenberger, Lucinda Cooper and many nieces and nephews.Art graduated from Life Bible College in Los Angeles on June 1, 1953 where he met his wife Goldie. He was an ordained minister of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel for over 63 years, serving faithfully and unselfishly with his gift of gentleness and kindness. He was known for his smile and encouraging words along with his knowledge and memory of Scripture.Art loved sports, and up until recent years he could still beat his grandkids in basketball with his famous hook shot. He was an outspoken UCLA fan until the end. In his youth he was a track star and basketball player.He cherished his friends, family and especially his grandchildren with whom he played games and shared funny stories and corny jokes. He loved life and rarely complained or spoke ill of anyone.He joins in heaven his parents, Manuel and Ella Gomez, brothers Robert, Benjamin and Manuel, sisters Alma, Priscilla and Naomi (Mimi). "
