Lori Yang

Lori K. Yang, 48, of San Jose, CA, formerly of Decatur, IL, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014, in her home after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday (08-29-2014), at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 4-7 p.m Thursday (08-28-2014), at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Lori was born December 2, 1965, in Decatur, IL, daughter of I. Sue Wilcott and Bob Wilcott. She married Sam Yang on May 12, 1986 in Decatur. Lori graduated from Stephen Decatur High School. After graduating, she and her husband Sam owned and operated the Aloha Restaurant in Decatur. Lori was a very caring person and loved her family dearly. She was a long time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Decatur. Lori was a homemaker and enjoyed volunteering at church, schools, and homeless shelters near their home in San Jose, CA. Lori and Sam enjoyed their annual vacations to Hawaii and spending time at the beach with their children. Surviving are her husband Sam of San Jose, CA; children: Samantha Yang of Los Angeles, CA and Braden Yang of San Jose, CA; mother: I. Sue Wilcott of Decatur, IL; brother: Michael Wilcott of Decatur, IL; sisters: Susan Wilcott and Amanda Wilcott, both of Decatur, IL; nieces: Valerie, Libby, and Alayah ; and nephew: Michael. Lori was preceded in death by her father. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. "
