Lori K. Copeland passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Springfield Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.
Lori was born in Decatur, Illinois on January 14, 1977. She is the daughter of Morris and Connie Copeland of Decatur, IL. She married Anthony “Tony” Richard on June 13, 2014. He preceded her in death in 2024.
Lori had the sweetest soul. She loved her family fiercely. Her poudest accomplishments were her children. She will be remembered for her smile and great sense of humor. In her last selfless act, she was an organ donor and saved at least 3 lives with her generosity.
Lori is survived by her parents; brothers Seth Copeland of Decatur, IL, and David Fyke of Decatur, IL; daughter Kylie (Izaiha) Eller of Decatur, IL; sons Julian Copeland of Decatur, IL, and Anthony Richard Jr. of Champaign, IL; and three grandchildren Zaylah, Izaiha Jr, and Izalyn Johnson, all of Decatur, IL.
Brintlinger and Earl is providing cremation services for Lori, and a memorial will be held at a later date.
