Loretta Skelton

Loretta “Sue” Skelton, 74, of Decatur, IL passed away on April 15, 2019 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 7:00pm at the East Park Baptist Church in Decatur, IL. Visitation will be two hours prior from 5-7:00pm. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown, IL on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 10:00am. Loretta was born on July 21, 1944 in Paris, IL the daughter of Harley and “Ruby” Margarette Lientz. She married her high school sweetheart John B. Skelton, Jr. on December 30, 1961 and he survives. She was a loving wife and mother with a giving heart. She was a good friend to many and known to several as their one and only sales person at Applebaum’s where she worked for 29 years. Loretta is survived by her husband; two children; Harley Joe Skelton, Sr. of Decatur, IL and Tina Kelly of Abilene, KS. Also surviving are grandchildren Harley Joe Skelton, Jr., Jeffrey Ryan (wife, Cheyene) Kelly of Bashar, KS and one brother, Jack Lientz. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents.
