Loren E. Callaway, 88, of Decatur, died Friday, September 23, 2011, at his residence. Memorial visitation to celebrate the lives of Loren and Iantha Callaway, who had been married for 65 years, will be from 5-7 P.M. Friday, September 30, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Masonic services will begin at 7:00 PM Friday. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Greenview, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children. Mr. Callaway was born June 15, 1923, the son of Edwin and Ina Callaway. He married Iantha Mehler in St. Louis on July 4, 1943. She preceded him in death on September 14, 2008. Mr. Callaway worked at Caterpillar as a Materials Supervisor for 40 years, and then enjoyed 30 years of retirement. He was a 50 year Master Mason with Greenview Lodge #653, a member of the Decatur Shrine Club, and a member of Macon Lodge #8 AF&AM. Mr. Callaway also enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his daughter Marcia (David) Shank of Chapel Hill, NC; son Roger (Terri) Callaway of Greenview, IL; sister Edra Callaway of Appleton, WI; grandsons Rick (Cindy) Johnson of Lincoln, NE, David (Kelly) Johnson of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Jeremy Callaway of Phoenix, AZ, and Joshua Callaway of Cary, NC; step granddaughter Jennifer Sauer of Joliet; three great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters, and grandson, Jason. "
