Lolela "Susie" M. Freeman, 93, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 11:34 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, at Boiling Springs Church of God. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church, and also from 4-7 p.m. Monday, December 17, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, 2827 N. Oakland Ave, Decatur. Burial will be at Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials may be made to: The Lolela M. Freeman Fund or to donor's choice of charities. Susie was born April, 8, 1919, in Forsyth, IL, the daughter of Charles and Vonna A. (Trimmer) Brown. She married Charles Thomas Freeman on February 24, 1946, in Decatur. He preceded her in death. Susie was a lifetime member of Boiling Springs Church of God, lifetime member of The Genealogy Society, and a 50 year member of W.C.S.C. She loved to quilt, embroider and crochet, and handcrafted many beautiful items over the years. Susie cherished her family and enjoyed spending time with her friends. Surviving are her son: Marvin T. (Shirley) Freeman of Shelbyville, IL; granddaughters: Angela (James) Bailey of Sullivan, IL, and Alena (David) Jackson of Moweaqua, IL; great-grandchildren: Hannah and Alice Jackson of Moweaqua, IL and Ryan and Joshua Bailey of Sullivan, IL; and sister: Ruth Ann Hilliard of Haines City, FL. Susie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Marcella Freeman, brothers: Charles Brown, Donald Brown, and Gerald Brown, sisters: Mae Eubank and Betty Freeman, and sister-in-law: Shirley Brown. "
