Lois J. Harrell, 79, of Latham, IL, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta, IL. Memorials may be given to the Latham Fire Department. Lois was born July 11, 1937, in Decatur, IL, daughter of George and Mabel Eileen (Hiser) Parks. She married Gaylon (Whitey) Harrell June 21, 1959, in Decatur. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2014. Lois worked as a clerk at the Latham Post Office for several years. She enjoyed country line dancing and going to car shows with her husband. Lois had a green thumb and had beautiful displays of flowers in her gardens. Lois was affiliated with the Latham Fire Department which her husband served on as a fireman. Surviving are her children: Randy Harrell and companion Sheryl, Natalie Foster, and Rodney Harrell, all of Decatur; grandchildren: Sean Foster and companion KC Kelly of Dalton City, IL, and Brad Neunaber and wife Susan of Jerseyville, IL; great-grandchildren: Mason Neunaber of Jerseyville, IL and Kimberlyn Foster of Dalton City, IL; and brother: Stan Clarkson and wife Lyn of Evansville, IN.Lois was preceded in death by her parents, step father Elmer Clarkson, husband, and daughter Paula Harrell.
