Lois Durflinger

Lois Mae Durflinger, 59, of Decatur, died Thursday, June 14, 2012, in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 20, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. Tuesday, June 19, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Long Point Cemetery, Niantic. Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation. Lois was born May 23, 1953 in Decatur, the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Allen) Durflinger. She was a school teacher at Parsons Elementary School for 18 years. Lois loved to fish and she loved Lake Shelbyville. She was also in the teacher unions DEA, NEA, and IEA. Lois is survived by her son Jay Durflinger of Decatur; brother Charles Durflinger of Niantic; and sister Jane Blakeslee of Alaska. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Catherine. "
