Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home on Oakland Avenue from 6 to 8 p.m. Homegoing service will be Friday, August 12, at 11 a.m. at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. She married her high school sweetheart, Eddie Creager, on June 10, 1962. He remained the love of her life until she passed into the arms of Jesus. She was the proud mother of a daughter and son and doted on her six grandchildren. Above all else, she was devoted to her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her tenacious faith touched the lives of many. Because of God's sustaining grace and the dedicated care of her physicians, she outlived many prognoses to remain with her family. She committed her life to caring for them as a full-time homemaker. Her loving heart and wise counsel were constant encouragement to others. For over 25 years, she and her family ministered as the Kingdom Heirs, traveling and singing gospel music throughout the Midwest. Her testimony of faith and healing stirred others fighting their own battles. For the last nine years, she and her husband indulged their love for travel, visiting friends and camping across the U.S. She leaves behind to cherish many happy memories: her mother, Lois Cooper, and husband, Boyd; loving husband, Eddie; daughter, Becky Massey and husband, Mark, along with their four children, Matt (daughter-in-law, Michelle), Teddy, Emily, and Nathan; son, Brett and wife, Leslie, along with their two children, Mitch and Meg; little sister, Nancy Payton, and husband, Bob, and other extended family and friends. The family wishes to express deepest gratitude to Dr. James Wade and Dr. Richard Fritz for their compassionate care over the last several years. Thank you for fighting the fight alongside us. Words cannot express our deep loss, but we do not mourn as those who have no hope. One day, God Himself will wipe every tear from our eyes. No more death or mourning or crying or pain when we meet again in heaven (Revelation 21). "
