Lloyd Elsea

Lloyd Keith Elsea, 91, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 5:35 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2012, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 2, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial of cremains will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, at Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL, with full military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois. Lloyd was born June 24, 1921, in Decatur, IL, the son of Sherman and Mayme (Tuvell) Elsea. He married Mary F. Allen on December 13, 1952, in Springfield, IL. She preceded him in death on September 23, 2006. Lloyd was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran and was a lifetime member of V.F.W. He retired after 33 years of service from Sunshine Dairy. Surviving are his daughter Melody (Tommy) Scroggins of Decatur, IL; stepchildren Johnette Wolley and Carolyn (Stanley) Paczkowski, all of Jefferson City, MO; grandchildren Keith (Rebecca) Grabowski, Meridith (Phillip) Roland, and Amanda (William) Warren; eight step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, wife, stepson Bobby (Smitty) Smith and brother William Elsea. "
