Linda K. Oyler, 61, of Decatur, died Sunday, July 16, 2017, at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the donor’s charity of choice.Linda was born January 11, 1956, in Decatur, the daughter of Oliver and Marilyn Jean (Wendell) Thornton. She married Michael Oyler in Decatur in 1994. Linda loved her kids and grandkids, loved to clean, cook and have dinner parties. She thought the world of neighbors Paul and Ruth Trice. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Michael of Decatur; children, Tony (Linda) Perry and Adam (Carrie) Perry, all of Macon, and Annie Perry of Decatur; mother, Marilyn Thornton of Decatur; sister, Cindy (Gary) Ventress of Decatur; brother, Mark (Cheryl) Thornton of Decatur; step-children, Zach (Heather) Oyler of Peoria, Joey Oyler and Amanda Oyler, both of Decatur; grandchildren, Kyle, Kalen, Brooke, Ethan, Madelyn, Jacob, Grace, and Amani.Linda was preceded in death by her father and grandmother, Mary Wendell.
