Linda Jo Born, 75, of Hammond, IL, died at 4:50 AM, Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Fair Havens Christian Home. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Oakley Brick Church of the Brethren. Vistation will be 5 - 8 PM, Monday, February 4, 2013 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, 2827 N. Oakland Ave. Decatur, IL. Burial will be at Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Memorials: Oakley Brick Church of the Brethren. Linda was born March 1, 1937 in Oakley, IL, the daughter of Oscar E. And Mary Elizabeth (Dixon) Brown. She married Duane Born on December 19, 1954, in Oakley, IL Mrs. Born was a member of Oakley Brick Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed flower gardening, counted cross stitch, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Linda is survived by her husband, Duane; daughters, Julie Born of Cerro Gordo, Tammie Myers and husband Steve of Oakley, Jill Morganthaler and husband Greg of Oakley; grandchildren, Jacob Shackelford and wife Megan of Cerro Gordo, Lindsey Myers of Nashville, TN, Hannah Myers of Chicago, Seth Myers of Oakley, Callie Myers of Oakley, Tyler Morganthaler and wife Jodi of Oakley, Alisha Morganthaler of Oakley; great grandchildren, Knox and Sylvie Shackelford of Cerro Gordo, Isaac Morganthaler of Oakley; sister, Mary Scheiter of Decatur, and brother Jack Brown and wife Norma of Fort Wayne, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister. Linda's family would like to give special thanks to all of the angels at Fair Havens Christian Home for their care and compassion. "
