Lillian June Bellas, 92, of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of Decatur, took the hand of her Lord and went with Him to her Heavenly home on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Hospice of the Valley, Tempe, AZA visitation will be held Friday, May 19 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL with a graveside service to follow at Mt. Zion Township Cemetery, Mt. Zion, IL. Memorials in Lillians honor may be given to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Forsyth or to Christ Church Lutheran in Phoenix, AZ.Lillian was born June 12, 1924 in Farmington, MO to Roy Larby and Gertrude (Wood) Larby. Lillian married Edgar Brewster on January 24, 1943. They moved to Decatur, IL in June 1959 where she worked at Goldblatt’s Department Store. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1967. Lillian moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1970, where she was employed at Goldwaters, then at the Salt River Project where she met George L. Bellas. They were married on November 24, 1978. She retired from SRP in 1986. Lillian was a faithful member of Christ Church Lutheran in Phoenix, AZ. Lillian is survived by her husband George of Scottsdale, AZ; daughter, Diana (Harold) Benton of Warrensburg; two grandchildren, Scott (Patti) Benton of Cudahy, WI and Melissa (Barry) Cripe of Cerro Gordo; three great grandchildren, Noah Benton, Drew and Addison Cripe; great-great grandson Ezekiah Benton; two stepsons, George W (Karen) Bellas of Scottsdale, AZ, and Greg (Gloria) Bellas of New Mexico; two step grandchildren Sherin (Jacob) Hodge and John Bellas all of Tucson, AZ and several nieces and nephews.Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, four sisters and two brothers.We are blessed to have had a loving Christian woman as an example in our lives. Lillian lived a long happy life and now has earned the crown of life. We will see you in heaven.Lillian’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice of the Valley Friendship Village in Tempe for their loving care. "
