Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL.Memorials may be made to East Park Baptist Church or Donors Choice.Lexie was born May 30, 1920, in Greenville, IL, the daughter of John and Hattie (Welch) Cavin. She married Glenn P. Boren on April 24, 1940 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2007.Lexie was a member of East Park Baptist Church. She worked as a unit aid and retired from St. Marys Hospital. Lexie enjoyed decorating cakes for wedding and special occasions. She is survived by her daughter Erma (Dennis) Chatham of Decatur, IL; granddaughters Kimberly Burns and Melanie Rapp; 6 great grandchildren; stepgrandchildren Kristie Crawford and Pennie Rhodes; 4 step great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Victor Potts, Roy Blacet, Bill Blacet, sisters Edith Harlan and Mabel Markley.The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at McKinley Court for the loving care given to Lexie.
