Levadora (Lovie) Alta Mary Kashefska 84, of Neoga, Illinois, formerly of Bloomington and Decatur, Illinois passed away at 3:17 AM, September 23, 2018 in Bloomington, IL. She was born April 21, 1934, in Decatur, Illinois the daughter of Clyde and Lorraine (West) Robb.Lovie married Arthur Herman Kashefska, Jr. on Valentines Day of 1952. He preceded her in death in April1995. Lovie and Art had 5 children, Pamela Church (Craig) of Bolingbrook, Gary of San Diego, CA, Deborah Prather (John) of Neoga, Melody Holt (Timothy) of La Grange, and Robin Jones (Jarvis) of Bloomington. They were always immensely proud of their children and their many accomplishments.Lovie was very active with her family, raising 5 children. She led the MacArthur High School PTA, was a Girl Scout Leader, Boy Scout mother, and chauffer to her kids as they were growing up. She retired from the Stanley Medical Group after 20 years, and was a member of First Lutheran Church of Decatur since her marriage in 1952.Both she and Art were active in Church activities and with their Church group that got together regularly for parties and events, and who still support each other over these many decades. They were both “Master Gardeners” and both won awards for their landscaping, and greatly enjoyed attending the annual Military Ball, and Retired Officers events.She leaves her children, grandchildren Garrett (Renee) and Bradley (Sarah) Church, Nolan and Daniel Holt, Ryonna and Ryleigh Hawkins; great grandchildren Marshall and Logan Church, Kyla and Ethan Church, Jonathan Prather and Leia Caldwell.Lovie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, stepfather Arthur Abele, brother, Clyde (Buddy) Robb, and her granddaughter, Amanda Prather.Funeral Services for Lovie will be held at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at First Lutheran Church, 250 West Decatur Street, Decatur, IL, with Pastor Rita Augsburger officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:30 AM preceding the service. Graveside service and internment will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Decatur, immediately after the Church service.Memorials can be made to First Lutheran Church of Decatur, Music Committee.
