Leo Joseph Meyers, Jr., 72, of Decatur, died Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Maranatha Assembly of God, with visitation at the church one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is handling the arrangements.Mr. Meyers was born April 26, 1937, in Decatur, the son of Leo Joseph Meyers, Sr. and Irene (Martin) Powell. He married Deborah Howard December 30, 1977, in Decatur. Mr. Meyers worked as a machinist for IMI Cash Valve, and then worked in housekeeping at Decatur Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God.Mr. Meyers is survived by his wife Deborah of Decatur; children: Tech Sergeant Scott Hanks and fianc Rachael of North Pole, AK; Lisa Vogel Hamson and husband Tom of Decatur; Joseph Meyers and fianc Elisa of Decatur; Lori Manks and husband Brandon of Decatur; grandchildren: Mason Vogel, Sophia Hamson, Blaine Manks, Zoey Manks, and Avilene Manks.He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Verna White, and two daughters.
