Lenita P. Sheese, 84, of Terre Haute, Indiana and formerly of Monticello, Illinois, died December 24, 2014. She was born October 9, 1930 the daughter of Wilfred and Edna (Blickenstaff) Johnson in Cisco, Illinois. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Sheese, daughters Kathy (Steve) Hockett of Indianapolis, Penny (Terry) Utley of Newburgh, Indiana, sons Doug (Mary) Madden of St. Louis, and Greg (Laura) Madden of Terre Haute, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister Martha (Larry) Edwards of Farmer City, Illinois, brother Eugene (Donna) Johnson of Spring Hill, Florida, sister-in-law Shirley Johnson of Fulton, Mississippi, numerous nieces, nephews, and long-time acquaintances. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Donald R. Johnson, and granddaughter Ellen Hockett. Nita worked as office manager for Midtown Motel for 26 years before retiring. She was an avid sports fan, enjoyed her cats and dogs over the years, and loved family gatherings. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. (Central Time) Monday, December 29, 2014, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Cerro Gordo, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Croninger Cemetery, Cisco, IL, officiated by Dr. James C. Leischner. Memorials may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society. "
