Lela M. Wilber, 97, of Decatur, IL, passed away 9:20 a.m., Friday, March 27, 2015, at Evergreen Senior Living, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene. Lela was born October 1, 1917 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Henry Clay and Fannie Beet (Nalley) Gardner. She married William F. Wilber on December 25, 1935 in Decatur, IL. Lela was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Decatur Archery Club, National Rifle Association and National Historical Society. She formerly worked for Sam Loeb and Bachrach's Clothing stores as a tailor. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Herring of Tallahassee, FL; daughter-in-law Connie M. Wilber of Decatur, IL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William F., sons Richard H. Wilber, Robert F. Wilber, daughter Mary K. Wilber, and seven siblings. "
