Lee Gentry

Lee June Gentry, 84, of Decatur, IL., passed away on Tuesday (09-20-2011) at 8:25 P.M. in St. Mary's Hospital Decatur, IL. Graveside memorial services will be held 12:00 P.M., Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Spangler Cemetery, Decatur, IL with Pastor Dean Jones officiating. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL are in charge of the arrangements. Lee was born on May 10, 1927 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Luella (Williamson) and Homer Cole. She married Mac D. Gentry, Jr. in Gettysburg, South Dakota on September 7, 1961. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2002. Lee was a homemaker. She loved decorating for Halloween and Christmas. She was featured many times in the paper and on local news channels for her Halloween scenes at her home in Fairview Park. She is survived by her sons Patrick (Leslie Bennett) Gentry of Euless, TX.; and Jim (Christine Price) Gentry of Decatur, IL.; granddaughter Cami Gentry; grandson Dylan Price; two brothers: Darrell Cole of Masterson, CA. and Jeffrey (Peggy) Cole of Nagshead, NC.; two nieces Kacey Cole of Bangor, Maine and Amy (Micah) O'Halloran of Andover, Mass.; special friends: Dean Jones, Rusty & Patty Davis and Melissa Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and one sister. "
