Memorial: 10:00 AM on July 08, 2011 Laura Ruth Ford, 82, of Decatur, IL., passed away at 4:45 A.M. on Saturday (07-02-2011) at Mason Point Nursing Home, Sullivan, IL. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday (07-08-2011) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday (07-08-2011) at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton, IL.. Military Rites will be provided by the Macon County Honor Guard for David Earl Ford. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to: Trinity Nazarene Church, Decatur, IL. or Friendship Hill, Lovington, IL. Laura was born on September 21, 1928 in Mt. Vernon, IL., the daughter of Lester Roy Oathout and Pansy (Hankla) Oathout. She married David Earl Ford on June 19, 1947 in Mayfield, KY. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2002. Laura was a member of Trinity Nazarene Church and retired as a floral designer. She is survived by her children: D. Michael Ford and wife Bev of Peoria, Arizona.; Stephen L. Ford and wife Linda of Decatur, Illinois.; Pamela K. Johnson and husband Steve of Hagerstown, Maryland; Paul E. Ford and wife Jerenda of Glendale, Arizona; one brother: Paul E. Oathout of Coulterville, Illinois; many nieces and nephews; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband David and three brothers, John W. Oathout, Ralph Oathout and Carl Oathout, one great-grandchild. "
