Laura Chenoweth

Laura J. Chenoweth, 70, of Decatur, IL, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018, in Granite City, IL. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday, October 18, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials in Laura’s honor may be made to Disabled American Veterans. Laura was born September 16, 1948, in Decatur, the daughter of George Walter and Imogene (Holly) Moore. She married Wayne L. Chenoweth in 1968, in Decatur. Laura enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a PTA mother and donated to a multitude of charities including veterans organizations, St. Jude Children’s Hospitals and others. Surviving is her daughter Teresa McLemore and husband Timothy of Decatur; sons Stephen R. Chenoweth of Decatur and Phillip Chenoweth and wife Sammi of Mt. Zion; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild: and brother Dennis Keith Moore and wife Sharon of Latham. She was preceded in death by her parents, ex husband Wayne, sister Cathy Purcell, and brothers Michael, Mark and Patrick Moore.
