Larry R. Reynolds, 76, of Decatur, IL, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at his residence, with his family by his side. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 23, 2012 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 4 to 7 P.M., Sunday, April 22, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with a prayer service at 4 P.M., prior to visitation. For the visitation, the family will be wearing Cubs attire and all are welcome to do the same. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois, 210 W. McKinley, Decatur, IL 62526. Larry was born August 30, 1935, in Decatur, IL, the son of Ralph and Frances (Roeschke) Reynolds. He married Helen Rollinger (Pullins) on February 14, 1959 in Decatur, IL. She is deceased. Larry was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He graduated from St. Teresa High School in 1953. Larry retired from Auto Accessory Supply and was an avid Cubs fan. He is survived by his children Stephen T. Reynolds of Decatur, IL, Deborah S. Turney of Ft. Smith, AR, Lori A. (Joel) Leihser of Decatur, IL, Catherine L. (Rod) Saffer of Decatur, IL; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and long time special friends Sharon Knowles, Nancy Prien, and Ray Ewing. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Ed, Ray, Stan, and Leonard; sister: Helen Parish, and grandson: Kyle Douglas Turney. The family would like to thank Dr. Benjamin T. Esparaz, Dr. Mary Anne de Paz, and staff, St. John's Hospice Program, Starting Point, and Carol at Addus Health Care for the loving care given to Larry during his journey.
