Larry Donaldson, 81, of Decatur, IL, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur, IL.Visitation will be Saturday, July 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with graveside services immediately following at Salem Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.Larry was born September 15, 1936 in Decatur, IL, the son of Harold “Red” Donaldson and Bonnie (Pace) Workman. He married Helen Allen on January 21, 1956 in Macon, IL. She preceded him in death on April 5, 2000.Larry worked for 42 years at Mueller’s before retiring. He loved to fish, hunt, take walks and work in his yard.He is survived by his sons Dave (Carla) Donaldson and Doug Donaldson, all of Vandalia, IL; grandchildren Matt Donaldson, Denise (Jason) Edwards, Laura Donaldson, and Nick Donaldson.He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Helen.
