L. Keith Otta, 71, of Elwin, IL, died 3:45 P.M., Monday, April 29, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 3, 2013, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 7 P.M., Thursday, May 2, at the funeral home. The family requests casual attire. Burial will be in Garver Cemetery, Oreana, IL. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association. Keith was born December 3, 1941 in Taylorville, IL, the son of Dwight E. and Charlene (Shaw) Otta. He married Opal J. Garver on July 17, 1971 in Macon, IL. Keith worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co. from 1969 - 2002. He loved working on his cars and enjoyed watching car races. Keith was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was very devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Opal; children Lisa Dunn and husband Roy of Decatur, IL, Wayne Nichols of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Tony Hott and wife Brooke of Boody, IL, Valerie Dunn of Decatur, IL; great grandchildren Trinity Hott and Braelynn Hott of Boody, IL; brothers Ronnie Otta and wife Pat of Decatur, IL, Leon Otta and wife Cathy of Decatur, IL, Dale Otta and wife Sherri of Macon, IL, Dean Otta of Mt. Zion, IL; brother-in-law Ted Garver and wife Sue of North Canton, OH; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. "
