Kesano Carlberg, 81, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, at her residence. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton, IL. Kesano was born October 23, 1931, in Shibata, Japan, the daughter of Tadao and Yoshie (Honda) Takahashi. She married Byron Oscar Carlberg in 1960, in Japan. He preceded her in death in April 1986. Kesano was a member of Soka Gakkai International. She loved to cook, watch Korean videos, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In particular, she enjoyed spending time with and taking care of children. Surviving are her son Jimmy Randy Carlberg and wife Atsuko of Tokyo, Japan; grandchildren Atsushi Carlberg, Michiru Carlberg, Kosuke Carlberg all of Tokyo, Japan, Candace Carlberg and Michael Carlberg both of St. Louis, MO; and daughter-in-law Carol Ann Carlberg of St. Louis, MO.
