Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 11, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 10, at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, following the visitation. Edward Street, Decatur, Illinois, 62522.Kenneth was born November 16, 1928, in Decatur, the son of Arthur Y. and Blanche (Stacy) Steele. He married Shirley J. Masters on February 15, 1948, in Clinton, IL.Kenneth served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Swift & Co., and worked for Prudential Insurance Co. He was a member of Northwest Christian Church and Stephen Decatur Masonic Lodge #979 AF & AM.Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Shirley of Decatur; brother Lee Steele and wife Lavonne of Puyallup, WA; nieces Lisa of Puyallup, WA, and Linda of Tacoma, WA; nephews Michael Steele of Puyallup, WA, and Joe Masters of LaPlace, IL; extended family Tom and Fran Cantwell and family of Decatur, Cody and Jean Moore and family of Decatur, Tracy and Tiffany Hood and family of Decatur; great-nephew Randy McKown of Phoenix, AZ; godson Kenneth Wayne Thompson and wife Diane and family of Decatur.
