Kathy Davis

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, June 11, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation 5-8 PM, Thursday, June 10, at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery, Decatur.Kathy was born on July 13, 1949, in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Herbert and Barbara (Murray) Burrus. She married Donald Davis on August 6, 1966, in Herrick, IL.Kathy was very family-oriented, a person who loved life, enjoyed helping her friends and relatives, and thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren. She loved both flower and vegetable gardening, including having her own greenhouse at her home. She enjoyed painting pictures, crocheting, and her beloved cats and dog.She had attended Lampstand Presbyterian Church and New Beginnings Church of God. She had also previously been active in C.U.R.E. (Childrens United Research Effort), and had volunteered with teaching reading at South Shores Elementary School.Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Donald of Decatur, IL; sons Donald F. (Kelli) Davis and Murray C. (Jacquie) Davis, all of Decatur, IL. Also surviving are her grandchildren Madisen, Jakob, and Layne; uncle Walter (Maryann) Murray of Madison, IN; aunt Beverly Beck of Decatur, IL., and numerous nieces and nephews.Kathy was preceded in death by her parents.
