Kathryn Disbrow

Kathryn J. Disbrow, 87, of Warrensburg, IL passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, with visitation from 5-7:00 PM Tuesday, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Illini Cemetery; Warrensburg, IL. Memorials may be made to the Warrensburg United Methodist Church, or the Warrensburg Fire Department. Kathryn was born on November 2, 1927 in Blue Mound, IL the daughter of John L. and Eunice F. (Thurston) Damery. She married Charles Disbrow on March 14, 1953 in Blue Mound, IL and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage. Kathryn was a secretary at Blue Mound High School, and then helped on the family farm. She was a member of the Macon County Home Extension. Kathryn was a very active member of the Warrensburg United Methodist Church, including: the United Methodist Women, singing in the church choir, and preparing church dinners. At home she enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables in the summer and fall. Kathryn is survived by her husband: Charles; and 5 children; Karen Disbrow of Iowa City, IA; Nancy (Gary) Swits of Gays, IL; Kevin Disbrow and Dean Disbrow both of Warrensburg, IL and Lisa Disbrow of Springfield, IL. Also surviving is one brother, James Damery of Blue Mound, IL; and grandchildren: Deanna (Jason) Kunze of Warrenville, IL, Tami Swits (fiancé Sean Harrigan) of San Franscisco, CA., and David Swits, of Windsor, IL.
