Kathleen Hamilton

Kathleen E. Hamilton, 94, of Decatur, IL., passed away at 7:10 P.M.. on Saturday(01-21-2012) at Vonderleith Nursing Home, Mt. Pulaski, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be at Deland Cemetery, Deland, IL. Memorials may be made to: First Christian Church, Decatur, IL or Shriner's Childrens Hospital. Kathleen was born on August 31, 1917, the daughter of Elmer and Mary (O'Brien) Hamilton. She was a member of First Christian Church, Decatur, IL., and was previously the church organis for fifty years. Kathleen was also a Board Member and Deaconess at the church. Miss Hamilton was employed for fifty years at Black & Co. as an Industrial salesperson, retiring in 1986. She was also a member of American Business Women's Golden Girls Chapter, Decatur, IL, Kiwanianne Club, former member of the United Way Board and Millikin University Civic Choir. Kathleen was also a Trustee of the Decatur Township Cemetery Association. She is survived by her Brother-in-law Gaylord E. Fouste of Decatur, IL.; nieces and nephews: Allen Fouste and wife Mary of Franklin, IL,. Larry Fouste and wife Hope of Decatur, IL., Marla Kelly of Cerro Gordo, IL., Mary and Gayle Fouste both of Decatur, IL., Mark Hamilton and wife Marilyn and Kathy Hamilton and James Hamilton all of Victoria, Texas; and several great-nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews. Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, one brother- Cloyd E. Hamilton, one sister- Essie A. Fouste and one great nephew, Todd Kelly.
