Katherine Anderson

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, May 28, 2010, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M., prior to service time at the funeral home. Graveside services will be 12:30 P.M. at Oak Grove Cemetery, Cowden, IL. Katherine was born March 18, 1911, the daughter of John Thomas and Nancy Alice (Beck) Durbin. She married Noble Ray Anderson in 1931 in Fayette County, IL. He preceded her in death December 15, 1987.Katherine was a member of Sunnyside Road Church of Christ. She was a member of D.A.R. and Decatur Quilters Guild, and she made many blankets for the Linus Project. Katherine worked as a seamstress at F.W. Means for many years.She is survived by her daughter Sandra Morland and husband Leo of Forsyth, IL; grandchildren Melanie Morland, Rebecca Mizera, Elizabeth Morland, Mark Morland; four great grandchildren; sister Janie Rand of Beecher City, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Noble, son Mark Stanford Anderson, grandson Anthony Morland, three brothers and four sisters.Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Cemetery, c/o Lewis Wasson, R.R. 1, Box 577, Herrick, IL 62431.
