Kathe Bundy

Kathe B. Bundy, 77, was called home to the Lord on the morning of July 12, 2012, with family by her side. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday morning (July 16th) at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Forsyth. Pastor John Hafermann will be officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until start of service. A short graveside service will be held at Harristown Cemetery. Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are assisting the family with the arrangements. Kathe Bernhardine Brand was born in Bremen, Germany on April 9th, 1935. She was the daughter of Georg and Adelheid "Ueffing" Brand. Kathe came to America in 1952 and obtained her Certificate of Naturalization on May 22nd, 1967. On May 21st 1960 she married Richard Janetzky. Richard was called home to the Lord in October 1987. In 1990 she married Raymond Bundy. She remained close to her German heritage and kept membership in DANK. She was a member at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Kathe had a passion for gardening, crocheting, and traveling. She especially loved to travel back to her native home land of Germany. Kathe is survived by her daughter: Gina (Mike) Whalen; son: Michael (Mary) Janetzky; grandchildren: Jennifer Lowe, Alexis Austin, and Michael Whalen II; step-grandchildren: Rebecca Johnson, Glenda Conoboy, Morris Johnson; great-grandchildren: Zach Auvil and Zayne Lowe as well as 11 step-great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-great-grandchild; and sisters Anne Constant and Elfie (Warren) Leevy. Kathe was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, five brothers, and two sisters. Kathe will be dearly missed by her extended family and friends. Though we mourn our loss, we rejoice in knowing she now resides in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. "
