Karen Beth Peer, 63, of Decatur, IL., passed away at 8:50 A.M. on Saturday (11-13-2010) at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday (11-16-2010) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. with visitation from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday (11-15-2010) at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to: Donors choice.Karen was born on November 15, 1946 in Decatur, IL., the daughter of George L. Taylor and Beverly (Hopkins) Taylor. She married David M. Peer on July 30, 1966 in Decatur, IL.She has attended Life Foursquare Church and St. Pauls Lutheran Church.Karen is survived by her husband David of Decatur, IL.; sons: Brian D. Peer and wife Julie of Bettendorf, Iowa and Michael Peer of Decatur, IL.; five grandchildren: Anna, Kate, Danielle, Cameron and Jackson Peer; and two sisters: Pam Buttz and husband Michael of Bethany, IL. and Cheryl Roach and husband Tim of Niantic, IL.She was preceded in death by her father and aunt Dorothy Hopkins.The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Esparaz, nurses and staff on 5100 at Decatur Memorial Hospital for all of their excellent care.
