Karen Fowler

Karen S. Fowler, 64, of Decatur, IL, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015, in her residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m, Saturday, May 2nd, at Resurrection Life Church, 1085 W. McKinley Avenue, Decatur. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday, and also 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 1st at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials may be made to: Resurrection Life Church Karen was born June 27, 1950, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Herbert and Reba (Rankins) Loveall. She married Robert Fowler, Jr. on June 1, 1969, in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1993. Karen was a member of Resurrection Life Church. She was a retired laborer at I.B.C. Bakery. Surviving are her daughter: Amanda Fowler (Undra Ingram) of Decatur, IL; son: Robert Fowler III (Keri) of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: David Fowler, Umbresha and Deontae Ingram, Bobby and Daytona Fowler; brothers: Roger Loveall and Carl Loveall (Larita); sister-in-law: Donna Fowler; nieces and nephews: Keith Fowler, Jr. (Quita), Jack Fowler, Jr., Kevin Fowler (Tiffany), Kim Fowler, Jeramie Fowler, Larry Boyer, Jr., Cassindra Loveall, Crystal Loveall, Tyler and Taylor Loveall, and Melissa Castleman-Leonard; several great-nieces and nephews; best friend: Kathy Sunderland-Gibbens; special friends: Curtis Hartung, Lisa McCoy, Eva Shelley, Linda Harper, and Dawn Bishop. Special thanks to the lifelong neighbor, Shirley Johnson and family for their continuous help and support over many years. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Herbie Loveall, Jr., brothers-in-law Kenny Fowler, Jack Fowler, Sr., Keith Fowler, Sr., and mother-in-law Marylin Wise. Karen was a very loving and caring person, always thinking of other people's needs. The family would like to thank all the people who knew and cared for her during her life journey. "
