June “Eileen” (Angel) Latch Farnsworth, 94, of Decatur, IL, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Visitation will be from Noon until 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 12, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials in Eileen’s honor may be given to Macon County Animal Shelter and Care Center. Eileen was born March 2, 1924, in Decatur, daughter of Theodore and Mary Loriene (Leathers) Latch Dobson. She married Sgt. Glenn Dean Farnsworth, while he was on furlough, on October 10, 1944 in Decatur. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1994. Eileen was a member of Grace United Methodist Church for 87 years and was the longest living member of the church. In her early years, she worked for Crum Distributing. Eileen was then employed at Caterpillar in the Insurance department for 30 years, working at the same desk, until her retirement. She was a member of the Caterpillar Retirees Club. Eileen volunteered at Decatur Memorial Hospital and Decatur Regional Airport. Eileen touched everyone she met and was a loving, caring, giving person to family, friends, and all her extended family. Eileen is survived by her sister Carole (Bob) Agney of Decatur, brother-in-law Raymond Kirchhofer of Shumway, IL; nieces Shawn (Terry) McWilliams of Decatur, Penny (Scott) Stonecipher of Long Creek, IL, Connie Feddick of Arizona, Margie (Jeff) Shonkwiler of Oakley, IL, Belinda (Russell) Bridges of Stewardson, IL, Sheryl Kirchhofer of Columbus, OH, Rhonda (Dan) Fisher of Highlands Ranch, CO; nephews Troy (Kim) Allen of Niantic, IL, Burke (Karen) Latch of St. Louis, MO, Jeff Kirchhofer of Shumway, IL; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn, brother Robert Latch, sister Virginia Woijeck, sister-in-law Sandra Farnsworth Kirchhofer, nephews Ted Latch, Jeff Allen, and an infant nephew Joel Lane Allen. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Daniel Smith and his staff, Harbor Light Hospice and especially her R.N. Darrell Ball for his excellent care and compassion given to Eileen.
